Children's books from your country, now available in Ireland
Ordering your native language books online
can be frustrating...
You have to search several online stores.
Deliveries take ages from your country.
Delivery prices are very high.
And that's why
Luminita Books was born.
Luminita Books is a business-project born from a mother’s love for her son and the need to express that love most genuinely.
Parents can only share these intense feelings in the language we were loved as children and learned to love ourselves.
At Luminita Books, we believe that all parents should have access to quality books at reasonable prices, without the pain and hassle of extended delivery times and costs.
Why choose Luminita Books?
Our company prides itself on bringing you the greatest titles available. We carefully look through catalogues, award lists and parents’ recommendations on social media groups to find the best possible books for you and your children.
We are also continuously creating partnerships with book publishers in various countries. This allows us to bring you native books and stories to share with your families and bring you closer to home. The ultimate goal of Luminita Books is for your child to expand their language and vocabulary skills, while also learning about the world and, most importantly, having fun.
I have known Luminita since she started the "Crestem copii bilingvi in Cork" Facebook group where she strived to connect and inspire Romanian parents and children to keep connected with the Romanian language. Ever since then I noticed her passion for children's books and so I am certain that Luminita books will become a great resource of books for all the expat families living in Ireland.
Mihaela Dragan, Romanian and French teacher, Romanian Community In Cork association member.
I know Luminita for a long time now and she has always been a source of inspiration for me. I am really grateful for having such a great friend whom I can learn from and who is always suggesting me great books to read to my kids. My little ones just loved the books Luminita sent them for their birthday and one of their favourites is Ten Little Fingers (Helen Oxenbury, Mem Fox) and The Red Stilts (Eric Puybaret). I definitely recommend her and I am looking forward to discovering new books from Luminita Books.
Cristina Serban, Romanian mother and friend, Milan, Italy.
The owner is the most passionate person I’ve ever met. The owner is the most helpful and friendly person. It's like a little community building book lovers from all nationalities together by having a numerous selection of books in the native language.
